Finnegan Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram invites you to compare the 2020 Jeep Wrangler vs 2021 Ford Bronco side-by-side. Review the performance specs and features of this popular matchup and discover which is best for you.
When speaking off-road SUVs, there are not any more iconic models than the Jeep Wrangler and the Ford Bronco. The Jeep originated all the way back in 1944 when it was manufactured as a military vehicle in World War 2. Through the years the original Jeep grew into the off-road icon now known as the Jeep Wrangler. Ford launched the first Bronco to compete with Jeep in 1965. Intended for use as an off-road vehicle, the Bronco was the premier Sports Utility Vehicle. A lot of things have changed since then, and while the Wrangler’s production has been undisturbed, this will be the first brand-new Bronco in 25 years.
Both the Bronco and the Ranger provide powerful engine choices with serious off-road credibility. The new 2021 Bronco Wildtrack has a 2.7L EcoBoost 6-cylinder engine that generates 310hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. The Wrangler has a larger 3.6L V6 that produces 285hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. While the Ford Bronco might seem to have an advantage, Jeep Wrangler just may have an ace in the hole. Jeep just released the Wrangler Rubicon 392 Concept to gauge driver interest. This new Wrangler features a 6.4L V8 that generates 450hp and 450 lb-ft of torque.
Even though both the Bronco and Wrangler resemble their automotive DNA from prior years, they both feature useful features that were not available on the original vehicles. The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon has LED DRL, LED fog light, LED brakelights, full LED headlights, 17-inch aluminum wheels, removable doors, and a convertible roof. The 2021 Ford Bronco Wildtrack has similar features like LED fog lights. LED Signature Lighting, removable doors and a removable top Inside, both feature USB ports, cloth seating, dual-zone automatic climate control, and touchscreen stereo systems.
The technology featured in both above-mentioned off-roaders is equally as impressive as their design. Both SUVs feature Standard Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Anti-Lock Brakes, a Wi-Fi hotspot, available Navigation, and more. The 2021 Bronco features available Ford Co-Pilot 360 Safety Suite while the 2021 Wrangler offers an available 7-inch Driver Information Digital Display. This impressive display not only presents basic information like vehicle Speed Control, Navigation, and speed, but it also has an Off-Road mode that illustrates the roll and pitch of your Wrangler.
